In 2003 I went on a three month holiday to Europe. I left in December and returned at the end of February, to start Uni at the beginning of March. I visited a number of countries including England, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy and Greece.
I enjoyed the whole trip and cannot wait to go back. There was something in each country I feel in love with; in England it was the shopping and the pubs, in Prague it was the snow (the first time I had ever seen snow) and the buildings, in Switzerland it was the scenery (not the prices), and in Germany I loved the beer. I loved all of France, from the food to the shopping and the language. Italy is the home of my favourite city, Venice and I could live on pasta and pizza (my favourite food). But overall I would have to say that Greece was my favourite city. I loved the people and the relaxed lifestyle.
Below are some of the photos from my trip. These are photos of the places I most enjoyed and the things I saw.
Picture of London, taken outside Westminster Abbey. Do can just see the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye in the background
Prague Castle at night. This was one of the prettiest and coldest places I have ever been. The temperature got down to -15 when I was there
Paris, the Seine River and the Eiffel Tower in the background
One of the canals in Venice
The beach (of rocks!!) in Nice, France
The coast of Fira, Santorini, a Greek Island |
At the end of the year I plan to go to Canada for three months of working and skiing. I have decided I quite like the cold and the snow!!
